Re-contextualizing the format of an “opening” Schrag introduces the Beer Tree – a flimsy device that challenges the lengths folks will go to for free alcohol.
Interested in the pre-conceptual and the phenomenological, the work aims to highlight the dependence on our bodies while unhinging normal social interactions. He says:
“I’m not sure what this work does, but it usually ends in tears. Not always sad ones.”
